Luke&Noah vs. John Paul&Craig (The Truth Comes Out)

Luke and Noah (As the World Turns) and John Paul and Craig (Hollyoaks) are 2007 hottest gay couples on soaps. This vs. is when both Maddie and Sarah know the truth about the hidden secret both Noah and Craig are hiding from them. Now both stories are totally different, but somewhat alike. The only similar thing is that both girls know the truth and they were lied to.

Luke = John Paul
Noah = Craig
Maddie = Sarah

As the world turns (aired 9/14/07): Noah has been trying to contact Maddie through her cell, as well as waiting around for her. Maddie spots Noah outsides and tries to storm off, but Noah spots her. She's acting strange around him and wants to be alone. Reason? Because she's realizing that Noah is attracted to Luke after a quick confrontation with Luke earlier. Noah thinks Luke told Maddie the truth, so he goes over to the Snyder house and confronts him about it. Both argue over the situation leaving Noah upset and leaving. Noah goes back to WOAK and sees Maddie there. Maddie asks Noah why he lied to her, but knows the real reason. He lied to get acceptance from his father and to lie about his feelings for Luke. Maddie is ok with Noah being attracted to Luke, but not being used and lied to. She ends the relationship with him and tells Noah that he is a man, but not the one his father wants him to be.

Hollyoaks (aired 9/11/07): Sarah has caught Craig and John Paul kissing in bed...and at her engagement party no less. Sarah is freaked out and runs down to the party crying. Many are wondering why she is upset and reveals to everyone that Craig was in bed with John Paul. Craig tries to talk to her, but tells him she was meant to walk in due to the text she got earlier. John Paul comes clean saying he was the one that sent the text so she could know the truth. Pissed off Craig flips out at John Paul, but John Paul tries telling everyone that Craig loves him. Both him and his sister Mercedes were kicked out, others are yelling and screaming at each other, and Craig is on the floors left in shock...

Hollyoaks by a mile. Truly heart stopping TV. And once again some amazing acting from James and Guy. I live in America and just wish the acting wasn't so cheesy on our SOAPS. Van and Jake look so weak in comparision.

True. ATWT has a great storyline going, but when you look at some of the scenes sometimes, It's over the line cheesy. Sometimes Noah can be sort of...weak when it comes to his lines. Not saying he's a bad actor. I happen to think Jake is a fantastic actor, but just the way the characters have to present themselves. Of course this is daytime and Hollyoaks is nighttime soap. I'm sure that is part of the difference.

I don't really thing that the hollyoaks scene is over the top, I actually think it's very accurate to the story. If you have seen hollyoaks, you know that Craig is in deep denial about his feelings and you know how afraid of the truth he is. When the truth comes out, his whole world just falls apart.

But it is A LOT more dramatic:0)

the situaton is really different, hollyoaks story line is more brutal and angst while atwt is just really soft, i mean the gf accept it differently, maddie accept it better than sarah, n she still befriend with luke indiffrenly, while sarah keep on yelling at john paul... i think it's not about the actor, it's about the story line...

@bluemidnight02 hollyoaks is basically daytime. the watershed(15+) is 9pm. so technically hollyoaks is okay for anyone under 15 to watch it.......

its gotta be mcdean! i love how when sarahs attacking craig, john paul shouts 'stop it your hurting him!' and drags sarah off craig, even though craig just broke his heart it shows how much he loves him!

It´s the acting that was awesome in Mcdean. And the chemistry between the actors!! I tried to watch Luke and Noah more than once, but american soaps are just blah...and their acting made me "hmmm...do I really want to watch this?" No offense to Nuke fans, just my opinion!!
