  • Could you place a magnet near plug and repeat this test please ? it would be interesting to see if the spark runs towards the magnet , if any change is realized it may be that inserting a magnet in the piston crown would increase things a bit.

  • I tried the plug next to a 150lb lift magnet and the plug didn't seem to care if the magnet was there or not.

  • But how are you able to weld anything to a carbon, thats the thing that still bugs me.

  • What are you using that has a center electrode made of carbon ? All my spark plugs have a metal center electrode.

  • And what is the middle dome part made of?And its being fixed to carbon electrode? That confuses me the most.

  • The center electrode ball is tig welded and turned on a lathe before the outer cage is welded on . The carbon washer is only used to protect the ceramic insulator . I use nickel steel (material the regular spark plugs are made of) or beryllium copper for center ball

  • For one thing it would be hard to control the gap and you would be limited to firing at TDC

  • why not implant stainless steel discs into the tops of the pistons for a plug to piston spark?? the burn could only be efficient and mpg would be at the highest right??

  • @3756robind Will you please try out the e3 spark plug in this way or in a tester?

  • What kinda material is the spherical electrode made of?

  • Awesome video I dont know why the automotive industry doesnt use this design, firestorm plugs and plasma spark technology. I smell a conspiricy

  • 5% improvement is not bad if the cost is reasonable . add a few more improvements like synthetic oil and you are starting to save a lot of money at these gas prices

  • I talked to Krupas several months ago. I don't think his plug will ever go into production. A plug you can buy now, which produces about the same results is the Power Star. They will produce a real 5% improvement in efficency.

  • We are not working with the Firestorm plugs at the moment , we are testing a different plug . I did not try Pulstar plugs yet . we are waiting now for the next gen plasma driver to continue testing , ED2's Mad Hornet looks promising.
