  • Derek Trucks will always be the king of slide in my mind. Elmore and Duane might have beat him to originality, but Derek has brought the style back with far more intensity and precision.

  • I wish my backup guitar was a real 1959 LP. I can't think of anyone else who deserves the luxury more, though.

  • Derek really rips on songs like this (Sahib Teri Bandi, I Wish I Knew...), straight up major blues with minor licks thrown in to make it more interesting, a lot of fun to listen to!

  • @cskatz01 Sonny Landreth. But they're completely different styles so it's tough to compare.

  • @DjSmi not that guitar, no. you're thinking of the goldtop he uses from time to time.

  • @micoluce not to mention that it is pre-owned by duane allman

  • Derick T. started touring with the band when he was like 12. I bet thats why he's shy as f*ck now. LOL

  • @schwakma Thanks!

  • @sinsemilla1205 That's Mike Mattison, he sings with Tedeschi Trucks Band now as well as Scrapomatic.

  • does anyone know the name of the singer? he kicks ass...

  • trucks is the best slide player to ever live, no comparison. However, he really is pushing best guitar player around right now. I am having trouble finding anyone better.
