I made this with the purpose of portraying not only the tragedy in Haiti, but to encourage hope and healing, and show the united effort around the world to come to the aide of these people in desperate need. *(some graphic images)* I was determined to end the video on a note of hope, and the story of the 11 year old girl buried alive in the rubble for 2 days seemed fitting to begin in uncertainty and end in hope! Set to BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN'S beautiful song, My City of Ruins from the album The Rising.

  • There was a girl who, right before she died, said "Momma, don't let me die"

I get shivers just typing this. I'm heartbroken.

  • Unfortunately that girl who said that was the 11 year old girl at the beginning and end of my video. I did not know she died when I made the video, I saw her as a symbol of hope. But heartbreakingly, she died after being rescued because of lack of medical care for her trapped leg

  • at 2:22 is that guy falling??????/

  • no he's reaching up for either supplies or more assistance as he participates in rescue efforts

  • @TheSeriousTruth -- you really dont know anything. at least i got faith and hope.

  • @PortugalRonaldoFan Ha, if you still believe in a God, then your deity must be very arbitary, cruel, and missing-in-action 95% of the time. Whatever!

  • @TheSeriousTruth -- cuz: GOD WILL TAKE YOU TROUGH HELL, JUST TO GET YOU TO HEAVEN.. now think about it.

  • How can anyone who sees this and what happened in haiti, indonesia in 2005 or all such disasters, ever believe in "God"?!!! If such a thing as God exists, s/he is a cruel monster!

  • my teacher told me about that girl and how she cried.... its heartbreaking. we prayed for that girl that day, and ouur families as well

  • rest in peace those who died
