Live: Sunday January 11, 2009: Fort Wayne, Indiana

Opening song for the Black Diamond Heavies set. Chris Johnson (mastermind behind the deep blues festival myspace/deepbluesfestival) brought the black diamond heavies to minnesota for the first annual DBF in '07 - he had the forsite to bring them back and back again and to travel to see them as they do a rare northern/midwest winter tour before heading off to europe. The Black Diamond Heavies are a force to be reckoned with - John Wesley on keyboards - Van never misses a lick on his 40 tons of pounding stomp. You've gotta get out and see this duo to believe it.

A special treat was Fort Wayne, IN - current home to a thriving punk/blues/garage band scene - with Johnny bringing in some serious music to the Brass Rail.

  • @dengie75 Saw a Great interview with the Reverend James Leg in Muleskinner Magazine. He is actually a Christian. Just goes to show, the devil does not own all good music! Next to that, the drummer's (Van) family has their own whiskey plant. Now how cool is that! I'd rather not have Satan Feed me but hey no light without dark ya know. Your choice.
