Another ensemble number from the Chilly Winds (John Birchler, Bruce Blazej, and Jim Moran) with their friends Bob Haworth (from the Kingston Trio and the Brothers Four), Tom Ivey (from the roots group Cripple Creek and co-founder of the Mountain Music Festival in Manitou Springs, Colorado, where this performance was recorded), premier mountain dulcimer artist Robert Force, and bassist Dave Batti, who frequently works with the Chilly Winds when he's not on the road with John Stewart, Chuck McDermott, and other major folk and rock artists. This delightful rendition followed immediately the same ensemble's popular performance of Bob Dylan's "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere," already posted on YouTube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLIJyD-0oVM,
and the audience's response in both singing this John Denver classic and in applause at the end made it one of the Festival's highlights. Song intro by Jim Moran of the Chilly Winds.

  • 親父バンド最高!感動した!

  • 本当にありがとう!

  • Well, my comment on "getting drunk on all kinds of rotgut booze" was a joke, or rather more precisely, a satirical comment on the popular perception of touring musicians as substance abusers. Most of the musicians on this particular stage, in fact, drink neither wine nor any other alcoholic beverage - adding to the humorous image of the remark.

  • GREAT!!!I LOVE Chilly Winds and Ensemble

  • Hi, Jim and T.C.W. Good to hear Mr. Denver's opus done as a group sing-along. Always wondered how the Kingston Trio would handle this...terrifically, no doubt. Miss your visits to my channel, Jim. Ever wonder how an ad hoc performance might blow? Would love to get your comment on "Where The Beers Are". Cordially, John
