  • I'm pretty sure Alton Brown knows about all of the videos, I think he mentioned it at a Google conference but it speaks volumes that he hasn't reported it!

  • @dancinbluegirl Perhaps he's really in it for people to watch and enjoy. Says a lot about him.

  • Thank you for uploading a legit version. The bastard who decided to post 50 fakes of this video needs to be hunted down and shot.,

  • @ChipNoir you are very welcome - i'll keep doing this when i can until i'm notified to stop

  • @twosocks1976 In my opinion, when cooking Japanese fried dishes like Tempura of Ebi fry, a large skillet does the job better than a deep-frier because ingredients such as shrimp is very delicate and when you're deep-frying it, it needs a lot of space to 'swim' arround (i.e. to be tossed around, turned around etc) so that it cooks more evenly in the shortest amount of time possible. If you're using deep-fryer, you have less control of the dish. That's all.

  • When I was doing culinary arts, we used Good Eats episodes as teaching aids because our instructor also believed that to cook good food, you have to understand the science behind it :)

  • He uses tilapia for fish and chips!!

  • Oh my god, the animation. HAHA!! :D

  • I was that cook who got eaten. Not literally, but Ive botched tempura so many times it is not even funny.

  • I don't understand why, in this video, he is so critical of the new countertop deep fryer, when in his man food show where he makes corn dogs, he appears to be happy to be using one. The problem with using a Dutch oven for frying is that dealing with the oil afterword is a huge pain in the ass! I have one of the fryers he knocks in this show and love it.

  • @khesed

I dont know what it is like in other countrys, but here in germany, many GE-Episodes are blocked due to Copyright-claims by [random BIG company] ._. but even if HE knows about and tolerates this uploads, its not his decision to block or not block videos =(

  • he's the one who told me to go out and buy a counter top deep fryer...I think it was the man food show
