Sending out the Minion

Testing out a Maxxis Minion Dh R 2.35 single ply on some April Showers. Filmed with a GoPro Hero @ Rockville Hills Park in Fairfield, CA.

In an attempt to lighten up my trail bike, I've switch out my DH tubes and tires for something a little more climb friendly. I needed something that was durable enough for some DH runs but also light enough to pedal back up. The Minion Dh R from Maxxis provides a great all mountain tire. Since this video I've also swapped the front to a Minion Dh R which makes a great combination and is very predictable on most trail conditions. I highly recommend using these tires!

I've switched to a full maxxis setup since this video. 2.5 dhf on the front and a 2.5 dhr on the rear. I'll be switching to a dhf on the rear, grips so much better, especially in the loam.

yeh if your like me and push your bike hard get a triple wall dh f and then a normal minion f normal harder so it slides better.

nice vid your forks are nice and plush what tyre do you have on the front minnion dh f 2.5 is a good choice very grippy.
