Philosophy Professor Dr. Theodore Kneupper explains the spiritual teachings of Jiddu Krishnamurti, Part 3 of 6.

Part 3 of 6: This week on Science and the Outer Streams, Philosophy Professor Dr. Theodore Kneupper explains the spiritual teachings of Jiddu Krishnamurti. Krishnamurti is described as having a "clear-headed capacity to articulate the central problem of human existence and to point out the direction in which one may find a solution, while insisting on one's own responsibility of the discovery of real freedom and the realization of enlightenment." Dr. Kneupper studied with Krishnamurti in Madras, India, and has written and delivered papers on the subject at various international conferences. Host is Pittsburgh Theosophical Society President Andy Nesky.

  • this man speaks clearly, simply and directly...

  • Krishnamurti referred to this as choiceless awareness. Essentially, all choice is confusion. Spontaneous and effective action can only arise from a state of complete awareness in which there is no separation between the doer and the doing.

  • 'to change the environment so it becomes a more beautiful place', 'when we see good and evil with the heart, we care for reality'... well, I'm not sure. "I see the flower, and the flower makes me more flower-like'? I mean pls.. 'I shall no longer worry about tomorrow'.. this too seems unrealistic. 'the only reality is now' oh, no. the future is real, if you do nothing, it still exists. why should it take care of you..it's cut throat, consumer capitalism. K was an aristocrat with a pension..

  • whom ever gained consiosness first times in the past, must have asked the wrong question, instead of asking where I am ?, he should have asked, who am I ?

    K. is the best. he is closest we have ever had to, absolute timeless space.ever present, truth, he wil never die and he has changed and helped maney people if they could only understand and see his vision for a fraction of a second. I am for ever gratefull to him......

  • the great Jiddu K. when i first heard him theres no word that could exist.. he is full with Joy And pain and true.. Love HIm

  • Yes well do yourself a favor, get the book The Four Agreements and read the chapter called Impeccability In Your Word,, Then tell me if "that's what you said"

    Thank you, namaste.

    1stBoM.

  • I discovered J K. in 1994. I was ultimately thrown out of my church because my eyes and mind were opened to the bigger picture. Read THINK ON THESE THINGS...I would love to get a group together online to share our feedback on JK. he also blew me away when he descibed the truth behind "education".

  • Yes, that is what I said. We are not free when we have to choose!

  • We shouldn't have to "chose" . Spontanity means that an event or action happens of it's own accord and not because of some forcing of an action.

    Namaste.

  • Christ wasn't a "Christian" nor was Buddha a "Buddhist" they just did what they did to inform humanity. At the risk of sounding "complainy" in my observation on "the net" almost 99.9% of the "awakened" people on here are trying to do just that, i.e. trying to force humanity and life into the way "we want it"

    Thank You, 5 stars.
