@burnacle Kirby being white in the commercial was a localization mistake by Nintendo of America since the game is in black and white, he was pink from the start, design wise.
Sorry if other people have already told you this, just thought I'd let you know myself.

@KuraIthys It was actually due to a printing error that made kirby appear white. He wasn't revealed to be pink until Kirby's Adventure

This is not how you sell Kirby to the target audience. I was the target audience. I never played a single fucking Kirby game until AFTER Melee came out.

@KuraIthys This is incorrect. His creator wanted him to be pink, but Miyamoto wanted him to be yellow. They eventually agreed to make him white just to get it out of the way... and he ended up being pink anyways.
