This was semi-early beta guys. Obviously things have changed since then but you don't replace heal with smite. You use heal as your primary heal unless your tank is sub 25% or needs a quick fix along with penance, subbing in Smite for evangelism stacks.

Heal also reduces your bubble debuff timer so you mix and match but at the time of this video regen was out of control and incoming damage was much much higher.

This looks like it was back when mana regen was bugged, prior to the latest patch. Have you tried it again since the patch? If so, how did you find regen now?

@xXxGrimeyxXx Yeah it was. Regen is a lot worse now meaning that I can burn through 35k mana within 1 trash pull no problem unless people actually CC and play smart. Standing in things, tanks not side-stepping, pulling agro, not interrupting evil BBQ spells are all major mana drains. In a good group where people know how to play and have good situational awareness I'll spend roughly about 15k mana but it also depends on the instance.

I'm sitting at about 800-1100 regen until we get better gear.

You said you were having mana profiency issues and if you just use that simple rotation along with Focused Will, mana pots, regen, and rapture mana is stupid fucking easy to mitigate in cata.

Each stack of evangelism increases the damage done (which in turn heals the party more) and reduces the mana cost of smite by a certain %. After 5 stacks of evangelism pop archangel which give you back ALL and MORE mana then you spent on smite. Archangel turns you into a fucking healing MACHINE. So pop renew, and shield the tank, then go through smite rot. until u can pop arch then rinse and repeat.

Ok dude you said your new to disc healing. I don't brag when I say I was the best on my server back in Wotlk. With the new disc set up with spells priest are now the best, most powerful, versatile healers UNDISPUTED. Ok so the way we heal now is through smite. Think of every time you smite you get buffed. So ever time you smite not only do you do damage to that target but EVERYONE within 8 yards of the target gets healer AKA raid healer. Aslo every time yuo smite you get a stack of evangelism.

if you're playing Disc, you need to be spamming Smite. take Heal off your action bar.

This has probably already been mentioned, but with cata and specifically the talent Atonement, for trash you should be spamming smite.

One tip if you play priest, dispell magic, mass dispell the shields from the mobs right away.

I'm only on the first pull but you are spamming Flash Heal on the tank. Flash Heal doesn't work like it does in WotLK. In Cata it is fast, small and inefficient. Use Heal more. It's been revamped. It's slower, about the same output as FH but cheaper.
