Masks can release the child in you, open you up to watching and reacting in the moment, drive you from strong primary needs, distill your movements and reveal new possibilities. When you put on an actual mask, your social mask drops away. If you play honestly, when you take off the mask, your face is clean and open.
Daniela Holtz, Massimo Tuveri, Nicole Unger and Alexis Schvartzman explore with masks in Mel's workshop at ifs internationale filmschule in Cologne in 2009. (Music 'Snowdrops' by Kevin MacLeod)
