  • turbocharge is for Japanese Nissan wannabes. Turboa! People like supercharge because there is no lag.

  • Specially because S2000 is has a lazy engine in low revs... needs a SC to help... the VTEC does the Job in Hi revs... BTW... this S2K isn't mine... i wish it was... but this is a comptech video that i just uploaded...

  • CT uses a centrifugal type supercharger for the S2000. Centrifugal superchargers have to spool as does a turbo. The "no lag" super chargers are roots and twin screw types (ie, Eaton, Kenny Bell).

CT S2000's are still very quick around a track, just don't expect to pull on that Cobra or LS1 sitting next to you at a stop light.

    Nice car.

  • That was an aggressive VTEC crossover. :D Especially for an S2000.

  • @sleepyf1 but not as efficient as a turbo as a supercharger needs power for it to run. Plus fuel will cost you alot.

  • @sleepyf1 youre an idiot. centrifugal superchargers lag just as bad if not worse than turbos. and they produce lower horsepower.

  • if you remove the recirculating valve and put on a blow off valve it'll give toot. just a comptech 5psi blow off is not the same as a turbo 17psi blow off, but it'll do the little whoosh...

  • @456blue456

Since this supercharger is a centrifugal one, will it get the "psssh" sound?

    Thanks, Geo

  • f20/2c dumbass

  • 2jz swap!!!

  • comptech is a centrifugal not a roots blower and it dyno's a tad over stock until vtec (6000rpm)and then that's where it is strong.

  • very correct, the cent. supercharger has very little lag, but it still is a slight amount, although not even close to that of an average turbo, it has more VS a roots and twin screw

  • this guy is right s2000 have poor low end pull so supercharging it is a great idea a turbo would be awesome for trackdays but it ain't gonna much drivability. turbos don't all take ages to spool my dads saab 95 has a hybrid garrett gt17 with larger impeller and a better actuator it starts to boost hard at 2000rpm literally it starts to hiss at 1800. just cause u watch evo's which lag till 4500rpm doesn't mean every turbo does. jesus do some homework first before u start chatting shit
