  • great one........no need for a cooking pot just every thing that is around you 5/5

  • Fantastic! In the same sense that dave canterbury is convincing, knowledgeable and a born communicator but very American, I find your videos rewarding (as an ex-pat Brit) because you are so all the above but with a reassuring British style and delivery. I place Dave, yourself and Fredde (the Swedish bushcrafter) right up there: the genuine article but all distinctly regional, and that's good to see in an increasingly homogenised world. Top, top stuff!

  • yeah the mussels all up near my house are poison... so are the fish and the abalone, the deer and the pigs. best stay away completely as ebola virus was found recently...

  • can't wait to do this when I travel the islands of Greece in a few months. oh the joys of being young

  • Jean-Jaque Rousseau?

  • @mazadan Yeah great. Great if you have a heat proof floor, a wooden board and dried grass in your kitchen, plus a hole in the ceiling to let the smoke out. I think I'll throw my pots away!

  • ray mears dad

  • Its a myth that you need to discard any mussels that do not open during cooking.

  • apparently they are served with brown bread and butter lol

  • i have to say this dog is living life ,outdoors ,camping, bathroom anytime and on top of that mussels awesome video thanks

  • @mrouterrim Be careful near houses and major rivers with farming upstream. Also, at least here in the U.S., mussles filter feed on natural toxic plankton durring the warmer months. Be sure to look into public health dept warnings in the vicinity of where you intend to gather.

    Have fun, and enjoy!

    Peace.

  • I guess the best way to choose clean mussels is to stay away from road run off,is this correct. And if so are there any places where there is no road run off.
