Shirts, DVD's etc are all here: http://www.tlapro.com/STORE.aspx

In this tutorial I explain how I build a great camera dolly for a $120.You can use it for small and big cameras. Also, this dolly rides smoothly on all surfaces since it uses tracks, just like the pro dollies do... AND it can carry both you, the camera and a focus puller.

  • Just letting you know, me and A LOT of people are really looking forward to that "dolly moves" tutorial, please stick by your word and make it. respect.

  • @Toemta I know I want to do it the second I get a bit of free time. There's a lot of things to talk about in a tutorial like that so it might even have to be a several part tutorial.

  • Hi. Huge fan n follower! Do u use bearings with the wheels? How do u spin the wheelset from the deck mount? Thanks!

  • @freaksarise Thnx! The wheelset is attached to a piece of metal using a bolt that's tight enough so the wheels dont wobble yet lose enough so the wheelset can rotate. Then that piece of metal is screwed into the wooden dolly platform

  • have you completely made the switch to DSLR's? Or is there still some use for 35mm adapters. I'm aware of the benefits of a video camera, I just want your opinion if the pros out weigh the cons.

  • @theryaner On low budget videos I only work with DSLR's now... haven't touched a 35mm adapter for a year now simply cuz of the problems with light loss and constant checking of back focus etc. They still produce great image quality specialy when used with Sony EX1 or 3, but too much of a hussle and too big in my opinion.

  • @polcan99 Where did you get the piece of metal. Is it something prefabricated or did you make it. I have the wheels but I cannon quite see the piece of metal they are attached to. Thanks

  • THX! any idea how to make curved tracks for that?

  • awesome ;)

  • @polcan99 yes !! :) i cant wait !!!

  • How do you make your wheels rotate? Do you use ball bearings? Would you please give the parts for that particular set up? Everything else is clear, but I am not sure about the

swivel wheels. Those swivel wheels would be ideal.

And I am planning to buy skateboard wheels and make them the same way that you have on the video to save money.

    Thanks

  • Great video, thanks I was looking for something like this. I'll give it a shot.

  • Where are you from Tom? Sounds like Czech.

  • @Toemta be creative dude. :) this guy has already gave us a lot for free. buy DVD where everything is explained. its only 70$, and includes a BUNCH of things... :) good luck

  • What kind of fabric do you use in front of the light to defuse it?

  • can you use it on ground without the track? just asking...good video
