Fancy Rats Stashing Rocks

Perla and Diamond getting used to their new rattie "pool" while it's still dry. They had so much fun stashing the rocks!

Incidentally, while I was editing the video I had them out running around, and Diamond ran to the computer almost every time I played the beginning....still responding to the sound of the rocks. hehe

Sorry about the shakiness of the camera in the first clip. I was in a very odd position lol.

@DJKatAnimated Lol not sure, but I have a few theories. Well, they actually like to stash almost anything they can carry (hence the term "pack rat"! :D ). One theory I had was for minerals. In the wild they wouldn't be given store-bought mineral slabs to chew on! Also, they just make a good nest border. When they had enough, Diamond and Perla arranged them in a circle and Diamond curled up inside of it to sleep! hehe
