Use this maneuver to treat your Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV).
Notice the pillow behind the shoulders. Your head must not lie on the pillow.
this shouldnt be done on a regular basis. this should be done only once.
Do this before sleeping. then after doing this, you have to sleep on an inclined position to keep the gravity down. what i did was i slept on 2 thick pillows to keep my head as vertical as possible. then in the morning, try to keep your head steady. avoid bowing down or leaning back. Keep your head vertically positioned for the next 24hours right after you do this Epley maneuver. If you fail to keep your head vertically, it is most likely your BPPV wont be treated. and you have to do this maneuver again.
This maneauver should be done once. worse case scenario is you do it more than once until you get really well.
for me, i did this twice. so it wasnt easy. but after that i still felt drowzy for after a week. then all became normal.

Small crystals (sludge) can build up in the inner ear fluid but doesn't cause a problem if it stays in the same place. If the sludge shifts to a different part of the inner ear canals, the fluid there moves at a different speed than normal, which causes the nerve cells to send signals to the brain which now don't match the visual input from the eyes. Brain thinks, I must have eaten something bad: Start puking! The manuver causes the sludge to slosh back to where it belongs. Worked for me.
Just had this done on Friday at an ENT office, it's amazing. What the video doesn't say, and what my doc did, was to start the 30 second count after the dizzyness/nystagmus (uncontrollable eye movement) stops, not as soon as your head is down or you change position. We did the entire sequence three times in the office, then he recommended I sleep in a recliner for the night so the loose crystal (the cause of bppv-can) re-adhere. I felt slightly off-balance for a day or so, but now I feel great!
I had this done in 2008 after suffering from terrible dizzy spells when lying down or tilting my head back. This maneuver was a life saver. I haven't had a spell since then.
Don't be an idiot. You can't stop it once it happens. It takes a really long time to stop feeling disoriented. The whole world spins and you constantly feel like you need to throw up.
igree, im sick right now and thats how it feels like, i been like this for 4 weeks now and my Doc says it takes a lot of exercise and time to be recover....
