Here are some ITV production slides (a.k.a endcaps etc) from late 1989 & early 1990. All are taken from the end credits of various different programmes. All clips were recorded in the TSW region. Apologies for the bad editing & poor quality in some places.

  • I wonder what that programme was that said See You Next Thursday 2.30 and what type of programme was it

  • Hi jamesdelboy, the programme was called ''TV Weekly'' & was a TV magazine programme type-thing. It was initially presented by Anne Diamond and later Eamonn Holmes. I think it ran from around 1990 - 93 & was quite good, as it had reviews, interviews and features etc. I think Carlton took over making it after TVS lost the franchise, but it then got axed. Shame really as was quite a good series.

  • Attention! I'm opening a petition on the PM's website to both allow ITV franchise licences to be revoked and to have ITV divided into different regions once more. I'll tell you the address when the petition is approved, which usually takes about a week.

  • Aren't these EndCaps, not Idents? :@

  • what is name of the show when the HTV laughs

  • Ahhhh, the memorable days of ITV, before the crap that we have today on TV. I was born in Germany in August of that same year, but moved to England in December of 1990 - the following year - when we had Thames Television - just over two years before Carlton - and London Weekend Television

  • @DJFairborne77 Meridian commissioned the presentation of TV Weekly as I remember it, but via the independent production company Topical Television, who already had taken over the production in the few months before TVS had expired its franchise. Carlton had produced a similar programme called The View, but presented by Loyd Grossman.

  • that was a long time ago,

    i wasn't that born

  • @channel4squares Sorry I don't have the full weather forecast.

  • I use that word way back as well

  • Hello Hammadmossop1988. Yes, I did record that brief bit of ''Rosie And Jim'' from TSW, way back sometime in 1990! I don't know what episode it was though, but I think it was from Series 1.
