Amtrak Engine 85 on the Sunset Limited

85 is newly overhauled, in fresh paint, and with the modified headlight style (no lens cap) as it crosses Louisiana in February 2008 en route to Los Angeles. The former funky font 85 side numbers are also history, and the font on 85 is now "normal." What are those children thinking??

Just seems to be cosmetic. Last half dozen or so new overhauls have come out minus the glass headlight door panel.

Now in April 2008 there are over a dozen with the "snow scoops" where the headlight lens used to be. Saw 71 the other day, she has it too.
