Famous song from The Wizard Of Oz. These are the words of the song:
Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high,
there's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue,
and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far behind me,
Where troubles melt like lemon drops away above the chimney tops that's where you'll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow way up high,
birds fly over the rainbow, why then oh why can't I?
If happy little blue birds fly beyond the rainbow why or why can't I?

  • Bonjour yayekdu45, thanks for the comment. Love your band too. All the best, Eric.

  • Eric (If I may call you by ur name), I am going to favourite this one because that was a beautiful performance. It touched me deeply. It often saddens me, not in a depressing way, more of a disappointing meaning of the phrase, that a lot of celebs dnt sing beautifully anymore. I enjoy listening to Britney Spears, but often, I miss her days around her first and second album where she belted in her songs. Granted, she's no Christina Aguilera or Judy Garland, but she has the voice.

  • urielwirth, hi Andrew, thanks so much for your lovely comment, I'm touched. Checked out your vids too, you seem like a really nice guy. Good luck to you, best, Eric.

  • Ddf974, hi Daniel, thanks so much for your lovely comment. I hope to be doing some more in the near future, unfortunately my time is been taken up at the moment with other things, not the least of which are some songs I'm in the process of writing for my other channel. All the best to you, Eric.

  • foxtrotoscar67, hi Jon and Pip, so, you found my other channel? Finding time to do both is the problem now. Thanks for posting. I bet it's getting a bit chilly up there now. From what I've seen on tv you've not had a brilliant summer either weatherwise. Ah well, a wee dram fixed that no doubt. All the best, Eric.

  • This is a beautiful rendition of one of my favourite songs!

The English sub-titles explained a thing or two as well. I thought that Somewheren Over The Rainbow was the palce you went if you wanted to weigh a pie: Somewhere over the rainbow-weigh a pie.....

    Regards as aye,

    Jon and Pip

  • rdeleon1971, hi Raul, thanks so much for your lovely comment. Yes, what a good idea re the lyrics in more info area, will do so. I hope it does indeed help. All the best, Eric.

  • Excellent job as always.

Very classy and very easy to follow.....!!!

With this, I believe the people will be encouraged to "Translate" what they are singing (or learning).

And a good tool, would be to place the full lyrics in the "(more info)" area.

With this, they do not only learn how to pronounce it, but also they are able to copy/paste or use an accelerator to translate the lyrics into their native language.

    How about that?

Can you do it for us....?????

    Thanks Eric.
