Khutbah: "Formula for Change" by Sh. Abdul Bary Yahya on Aug. 31, 2004 at IIOC

AbdulBary Yahya was born in Vietnam during the Vietnam War, and very soon thereafter immigrated to the U.S. with his family. He grew up in Seattle, WA and after completing his primary and secondary education there, began his studies at the Islamic University of Madinah. It was at the University that he befriended Muhammad Alshareef, as they sat next to each other in the first year of their studies.
Upon graduation from the Islamic University of Madinah's College of Shariah, AbdulBary Yahya returned to Vietnam and Cambodia and became a teacher and director of the Revival of Islamic Heritage Society in Cambodia and the Umm al-Qura Charity Organization in Vietnam.

He presently resides in Seattle, WA with his family, and is an instructor with AlMaghrib Institute, an organization that provides trademark double-weekend seminars leading students towards a bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies. He is currently the Imam (spiritual leader and advisor) of Masjid Jaamiul Muslimeen in Seattle, WA. He also holds the positions of President of the Cham Refugee Community and Vice-President of the Islamic Center of Washington State.

  • @Bangtorr wallahua'lam what will happen with friendship, but intention must always for Allah's sake. It means we don't have to expect to make that person love us or make that person happy. what matters is we know what we do,that Allah will like it and will take care of everything else on what would happen. no more, no less. and know Allah will bless whoever he wants <3

  • Gift has to be from the heart , when I buy a gift I wanna put a smile on persons face , I wanna buy something they desire or have desired for a while , something they have never seen .. something I would buy for my mom ... also something that will tell that person about the colour of my heart ... I bought a marzipan chocolate for a girl I admired ... she now keeps the wrap in a glass case and for the first time in her life she tasted marzipan... It has to be from your heart ... not fake

  • I Love you Shaykh Abdul Bary!

Miss you soo Much here in Birmingham UK :-)

  • so when you buy a gift for someone what intention do you make? doing this for allah? or loving the other person? because I heard you you should always do everything for the sake of allah and if you do it for someone else, then allah will make the other person your enemy. please reply, juzakulalh
