You're absolutely right. And some Oasis songs are just as good as Beatle songs. Alot of them aren't exactly comparable cause they're different and great in their own way. Just the idea that the Beatles didn't perfect their own style is complete bullshit.

@blica1 I said in my opinion, and yes, they were and still are influential. If you are influenced by them fine, but not everyone is. That's why he was shot, because he was full of it. He got too into his views and beliefs. It's easy to imagine no religion and other things, but try and live in the world that you are in instead of imagining a world you want to live in. POP music was alive before the Beatles, so they copied, not created.
