@DavidArchuletaLuv22 my brother had jaundice when he was born, he was 2 weeks early. And LizzyHope1 is right. a lot of babies are born with it. My brother had to be put in an incubator for 2 weeks before he could be brought home.

It's kinda complicated and hard to explain, but it is when the liver can't recycle the old red blood cells and toxins and so they stay in the body instead of being released. Usually Jaundice isn't all that harmful as it generally goes away in a couple of weeks, but in some bad cases it can cause deafness, cerebral palsy or brain damage

Basically it when the liver (or kidney... I don't know which.) doesn't work yet. A lot of babies are born with it, because those organs are still kicking in.
