Memoirs of a Geisha behind the scenes 1

This is during the making of the Memoirs of a Geisha. It explains how the film was made, and how the producers went to Japan and tried to find out if there was a place untouched so they could film there. Although since Japan has pretty much modernized so much, that there is barely any place left that is from the olden days.

After I seen the movie, I found out that there was a book... Usually the book is always better than the movie, so what is your opinion?

The movie was good but Arthur Golden completely screwed up what a geisha is

The cinematography of this film is absolutely amazing in every way. I never get tired of watching this film because of well made it is all around. I like to listen to the commentary as I watch. The actors are excellent, so are the great directors, and the sets are so believable and beautiful. It makes me angry when people try to write this film off as a movie about a Japanese prostitute. Some people just love being ignorant and don't give a damn.
