  • What happens if I'm brewing my tea in over boiling water? Do the benefits disappear, or just the taste becomes horrible?

  • @Hasnath11 - Green tea is more delicate than black tea, having undergone less oxidation than black so using boiling water can "shock" the tea into releasing too many tannins which will make the tea taste bitter. Boiling water will cause green tea to lose a small amount of the beneficial polyphenols but the main reason to avoid boiling water is to avoid a bitter taste.

  • what's the diff between black tea and green tea?

green tea is something you ll get the tea bags separately or the same tea bags but the making process differ?

Please clarify coz I normally buy Tetley tea bags, they are brilliant.

  • @Ramsay385 - (Cont'd)... Black tea should be brewed with boiling water but delicate green tea requires hot but not boiling water, as I show in my video. So to answer your question, green tea is a whole different thing from black tea and you would buy them separately. It's not like if you brewed black tea for less time that it would be green tea. I hope that explains it.

  • @Ramsay385 - Green tea is an entirely different product than black tea. Although they come from the same plant, they are processed differently. Green tea goes through less processing so it is lighter in color and contains less caffeine. Black tea is processed longer which develops more caffeine and a darker color. Both teas have health benefits but green tea seems to have more. (Cont'd below)...

  • no sugar?

  • @sourXpatchXkids1 - Most people, including myself, put sugar in their black tea but green tea is usually had with no sugar. Asian restaurants, including Benihana, serve green tea and never provide sugar. Not everyone likes the taste of green tea so if it takes a little sugar to get you to drink it, I'd say go ahead.

  • @bishonenchan - Sometimes, especially at work, a microwave is all people have access to and to me, tea with microwaved water is better than no tea at all, and definitely better than a soda.

  • @12ibrar - Three cups a day seems to be ideal. That's what I drink.
