The problem with the martial arts is not the attacker, it is how your mind relates to the attacker. To solve this problem we need to learn how to reflect.

  • How many non tournament on the street fights have you been involved with?.

  • @blade004

Look beyond the obvious. If you want to learn how top fight, then fight. If want to learn how not to fight, then at some point you will have to let go of fighting. You are coming from the perspective of - How do I protect myself from the attacker? Consider a different question. What is the most effective relationship to have with an attacker? I am suggesting that no form of conflict is the most effective relationship.

  • Looks good but i'm still dubious about aikido's ability to deal with more pertinent forms of attack.

  • @fringeailments The attack or attacker doesn't matter nor weather it is Aikido or any other martial art. The problem is the defenders relationship with the attacker. Its easy to catch a ball thrown to you but very difficult to catch a ball thrown at you. The only difference being how your mind interacts with the situation.

  • What type of attack doesn’t really matter except that a push is the least aggressive form of attack, so it doesn’t distract you as much from what you are really doing which is watching your mind. The battle is within. See the losing exercise video for more information.

  • i see a lot of " mind " there is no " no mind " the only martial art without what you say" mind is " is wing tsun and i doubt even that because there is not a single atom in this universe without mind

off course there is a huge difference between your mentality and the mentality of a WT fighter , we love to fight , we don t train for championchips we do it for this one special moment when someone wants your live or something less , we start feel comfortable when we are inside (close combat)

  • That's something that Bruce Lee picked from The Great Spiritual Teacher Juddu Krishnamurty.

100% is right what you say. The same thing goes with voice technique when it turns in to "no technique" or natural one

  • I would like to see this at combat speed... Just saying...

  • this guy needs to show up at OWS

  • Excellent video, you are a very teacher also. keep up the good work:)
