possibly the most beautiful opening to an album. quiet, understated; it perfectly encapsulates the idea of sufjans music, a transcendental and beautiful thing, coming down from the sky for a brief time.
the pure humanism of the song is fantastic as well. only he would look at the people in this scenario in such a unique way, that we would like to the signs, the dustings from their eyes.
