a vintage Scott Walker sing-a-long classic in the time it takes to drive to the top of Manors multi-storey carpark in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK - 50p an hour - cheapest in town & best views too; also features in opening credits of Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? as prime example of T Dan Smith's lamentable approach to inner city development...
The original footage of this is now on You Tube so you can see where the idea came from; simply a serendipitous chance that had that song playing on the car stereo & lasting precisely the duration of the ascent.

The lyrics were taken from the Boy Child booklet. It is indeed "Guevera dies", but such modegreens abound. Erudite is a popular one!

Lyrics taken from 'Boy Child' CD booklet - so thanks for pointing this out. Ties in nicely with 'Bolivia '95' (sung over El Che's corpse...)

PS - If you want a 'scintillating view' check out the 'Look Chocolate' commercial - surely the consummate reduction to the existential essence of Scott Walker!

We were filming in the car park for another project whilst listening to the Boy Child compilation. The song started as we began the ascent & finished when we reached the top. This struck us as being somewhat serendipitous on various levels (?) so we proceeded to do exactly as TheCrippledSilence describes above, taking the lyrics from the booklet of the Boy Child CD, duplicating any typos contained therein.
