If you see the Behind the Scenes of the 2006 Operngala, you'll see how hard she worked and how cute she was when she's working during rehearsal. Talking about performance, Anna may not be a bit shallower in feelings and expression than previous generations, but she's good enough to receive acclaims. And her dedication to art is worth praising. Besides, she's beautiful, good at acting and still has a very good technique so far. What can you expect more?

@zucchini2007 Exactly, notice also how effortless Anna is, she doesn't strain, she doesn't need to worry about hitting the notes, every phrase means something, everything is about expressing the music and words, her breathing is not noticeable. She can sit down, lie down, dance, doesn't matter.

@jewelmarkess I've noticed a VAST difference between Anna's voice and Sarah Brightman! Sarah does sound like a complete amateur. Anna's voice is like dark gold on velvet....smooth, rich, POWERFUL.

@XP11XP This isn't true. Have you heard her live? I heard her live at the Met and I found her voice tone gorgeous. Plus, she can act. I have no issues with people's not liking her - we all hear differently and put different emphasis on different aspects. But you are insulting everyone who likes her. Besides, you may criticize her in coloratura roles, but this is operetta, and she does it perfectly (IMHO).

She has a wonderful voice and she is so sweet and innocent as a little girl while singing. :)
