"Un voleur solitaire est triste à nourrir" is hard to translate... There's a pun! "Triste à mourir" is an expression which litteraly means "sad to die". Someone who is "triste à mourrir" is really REALLY sad. But here, they replaced "mourir" (to die) by "nourrir" (to eat).
