Chris Waddell attempts to be the first paraplegic to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania solely under his own power. With each revolution of his handcycle he ascends the mountain inches at a time under excruciating pain. In the process, he discovers the beauty of Africa and the plight of the disabled in Tanzania. His mission is to go forward while giving back to the people who suffer in the developing world by developing a handcycle built for the specific conditions of Africa. Through athleticism and sport he sets out on a mission to changes the lives of those who remain challenged by limited mobility in the villages of Africa.

That was inspiring. I'm an optimist and I believe Chris can conquer Kilimanjaro. But if not, I really hope the foundation there is successful. That would be awesome.

I really like your bike. We scouted the Mt in June of 08 and we plan to go back in fall 09.
We used some of the same porters. I recognize them from your videos.
