An engaging and knowing perfmormance of a song/memoir by Mr. Whyte from the Phantom Agent's vault of 1980's Manhattan cabaret treasures. Can you name the cabaret artists shown in the video?

  • Was he on the premier episode of Callback! on January 27, 1968?

    Thanks.. Tom

  • @clovis57 Tom, the answer to your question about Ronny Whyte and "Callback!" is yes. Ronny wrote earlier today saying: "... Travis Hudson and I were on Callback, the 1st one (I'd almost forgotten!). Barry Manilow was musical director! We were working at a boite called Ramondo's at 58th and 1st, where we created our act. We were there together for 5 years on and off." Ronny's website: ronnywhyte (dot) com

  • Thanks for that! Does any audio and / or video exist of Ronny's Callback! performance? I have found an article from 1968 regarding the premier episode of Callback! and Ronny is mentioned. Many thanks! Tom

  • @gwsinger1 Thanks for the news. I will definitely try to see him live.

  • @written12 Yes indeed, he's still working in the New York area!

  • @gwsinger1

Is Ronnie Whyte still with us?

  • Such a superb performer, real class and great taste. I think he's very underrated.
