The southern region of Brazil was chosen for the year 2005. In Porto Alegre City, on July 9, 2005, at the time of sunset, 300,000 people gathered during the harsh winter of the capital city of the southernmost Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, to record "There is Still a Cross", 8th CD and DVD of Before the Throne Worship Ministry. A great cry went up to heaven in Brazil to remember that the son of God came to earth and dwelt among men and gave himself in sacrifice for us as proof of love. A reminder that brings to mind the high price paid by Jesus on the cross, which leads us to tread a difficult path of renunciation and daily death.
The message expressed in this recording, through eleven new songs, is for those who have not forgotten that life with God is not just wealth, pleasure and comfort.
The message of the cross was spiked at Calvary for over two thousand years ago.
The choice to accept it or not is a personal decision. What about you? Do you want it?
And anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me." Matthew 10:38

Originated in Belo Horizonte, a city in the southeast of Brazil, Before the Throne Worship Ministry (Diante do Trono) was born with the vision to worship God and bless lives.
The group consists of over 80 members led by worship leader Ana Paula Valadão.
In 2001 God confirmed to Ana Paula's heart the direction to start recording the albums at public places, as stadiums, squares and streets. As prophetic acts to rescue Brazil to Jesus Christ, the live recording should happen yearly in a different Brazilian state.
The band formed at Lagoinha Baptist Church in 1997 when the leadership of the congregation wanted to raise money for charity in India. Within a year, they gathered all the structure and recorded their debut album, "Diante do Trono" (Before the Throne).
By the early 2000s, they had become a prominent gospel national act in Brazil. Their 2001 album "Preciso de Ti" (I Need You) is the best selling album in the whole gospel music history in Brazil with over 1,5 million copies sold.
Although they were a top selling gospel artist, they became well-known for the large number of people drawn to their annual live recordings. In 2003 was the time to São Paulo, the biggest city of Brazil, to hold the biggest event the country had ever seen. The recording of "Quero me apaixonar" (I Want to Fall in Love), with 2,5 million people, impacted the city, outpacing the number of people who attended the presentations of the Rolling Stones and U2 in Brazil.
Diante do Trono have released over 25 albums and are among the most critically and commercially successful gospel groups in Brazil. They have won 20 Talent Trophys (a Brazilian award similar to the Dove Awards), more than any other band, and they have sold more than 9 million records.
In 2008, Diante do Trono was honored at Programa Raul Gil, a famous Brazilian TV program, for their acclamation in the gospel and secular music.
The band also works in a philanthropic cause, the Project Ashastan, a recovery house in India for victims of child prostitution.
Currently Before the Throne Worship Ministry is recognized as one of the most important ministry in Brazil. The events which received crowds of people marked the nation with the promotion of the body of Christs unity, understanding praise and worship as the redemptions gifts of Brazil.

@lamarpaylor2002 The lyrics: I was at a great distance yet and you came towards me. Your eyes caught me by the road when, regretful, I came back to You. And, compassionately, you ran to me. With a kiss and a hug You forgave me.
My father. My God, my father. My father. Abba father.
I received new garments. You gave me a ring. More than just a servant; son of the King. Wine from the best vat.
