John Borsje has a little workshop tucked in behind the Salvos on Carlisle Street in St Kilda. I go past it every day. When I got a camera for my biirthday I thought it would be a nice little project to follow the full restoration of a piano. This also seemed like a good small business story.The piano you see in the story was restored by John for Glen Eira College. It about to be taken to the tip, but some parents felt a sentimental attachment to this piano because they, as former students at the college had learned to play on that piano. They raised funds to the amount of $20,000 for the restoration.
John is passionate and has a tradional approach to his craft, Rebecca Nash caught up with him December 2010. The story aired on Inside Business ABC TV.
