in America those elephants would be stars, I hope they're treating them right off the field or away from the cams but they seem to enjoy playing soccer. They should send Beckham back to europe and sign those 3 elephant studs. At least better show.

Thai elephant and their trainers often work very closely one on one for years. In the small instances I've seen, the elephants are not treated badly; you can pick on other issues, like deforestation and such in northern Thailand, but do your research first about the traditional relationship between elephant and elephant trainer in the Chiang Mai area before assuming these animals are abused.

LOL Oh I have listened to their views. They ALWAYS assume the animal is abused or that it was forced from its home (instead of rescued). They advocate rediculous positions like not owning pets, not eating meat. I try to rationalize with them and they just respond with attacks or nonsense. Alright so I don't literally hate these people and I'll take back the "shut up" part, but just venting my frustration. :) Peace

Elephant belong in there natural state. Not to be used as circus animals for our entertainment. You may think this is cute, but what this animal was subjected too to do these tricks is cruel and inhumain.
