For me its so they don't get acute "touch him on the penis" syndrome
-
@ElGeFe Of course. I don't know what I was thinking.

This is absolutely rooted in homophobia. Not that I am implying the cast and creators of SMBC Theater to be homophobic, but the origin of this practice stems from homophobia and the fear of one man seeing another man's penis.

Why not just use a stall?

It's not homophobic. It's not like being gay makes you want to cuddle up in the urinal next to someone else.
A lot of straight people probably also don't want to be at the next urinal from a strange, not necessarily attractive woman pissing for some reason into the urinal. You want a wall between you or something unless it's about to get sexual, which for most gay men pissing in the urinal isn't a sexual experience.

XD the punchline was awesome

It has nothing to do with gay, it's just awkward and uncomfortable. Is it so horrible to try to get at least an ounce of privacy while taking a leak?

This is real people!

I don't think this is homophobic. I just think men are stupid sometimes.

If there's one thing women don't understand, it's this. It's not homophobic or anything. Many straight and gay guys alike follow the important rules of men's room etiquette. You don't stand next to another dude, keep your eyes on your own business (never ever ever look at anyone else), and don't talk.
It's kind of like how guys don't understand how girls don't actually have scantily clad pillow fights and compare boobs as often as we think.

People keep commenting about the divider being there. What they don't realize is that this is a comedy video, not a snuff film. Had they used divider-less urinals they would have blown up for real...

You know, the distance you should stand away from a urinating man is about equal to the distance you should stand away from somebody at the ATM. It's just a principle of taking something valuable out of your pants.
