@tomwi65 Ibanez's give you the most bang for your buck. The $200 ibanez's kill the squires.

what Squier series is it? :)
-
how do you plug your amp into your computer?
-
@finestspark77 squiers are better than u think
-
It was ok, but work on ur bends. You over- and under-extended some of them. But besides that, pretty good
-

Guitar: Squier Stratocaster
Effects and amp simulation: Boss GT-8
The guitar goes to the GT-8, the GT-8 goes straight into my PC's line in.

Great playing!
What gauge strings are you using?
By the way, any guitar is as good as the player. Even squiers can sound terrific if set up and played "properly". I agree they're not Fender "Custom shop" material, but who can afford one anyway!?!
In short- decent guitar, good amp(solid state or tube) and good playing and feeling make for a winning combination.

Thanks for the comment. You're right about the gear. I know a bassist that owned a jazz bass, and after 30 years of playing, he still uses his squier to gig. He simply likes it.
About your question, I use D'Addario 009's.

hey man! i like your vids!
i have 1 question:
is the squier really worth it or should i keep my money for something better?
i wnated to buy one, but when i got to the store the dealer didn't even let me touch it...
he said it's a toy and i shouldn't get near it.

Well it quite depends on your economic situation.
When I bought my squier, I was going through hard times and wasn't able to get something better.
It's for sure not a toy guitar and it serves me well even after 2 years. But it also isn't a good guitar.
So if you can indeed wait a bit more and get something better, do it. I'd recommend some of the cheaper Cort's or Washburn's. Epiphones also are good. I'd recommend you to go with a friend that understands about guitars, so he tries them first.
