Today's musing covers New York Time columnist Maureen Dowd's Op Ed piece "Put aside logic" on the state of journalism and the health of media outlets using Star Trek references (nicely segueing last week's Star Trek musing). It made me think about what role new media is playing in today's society as to how and where we get our information these days. By any judge, Annie Leonard has done a good job of using new media through her video creation "The Story of Stuff", "a sleeper hit in American classrooms" which teaches about the effects of human consumption. I muse on this as part of my ongoing thoughts and vocational insights into resource management. After all that "heavy stuff", I decided to take you on a tour of my garden to see how nature is doing quite nicely on it's own (okay, with a wee bit of help from my side). Enjoy!
