I really liked this game a lot. In fact this is my favorite in the NES series. I haven't been able to find it that easily for the NES, though.

I like the cover art. It reminds me of Buck Rogers, but it does not fit the game.

This is another game I played the hell out of as a kid. If memory serves correctly, I dragged my parents to a rental store for every one of these on the NES. It's sad, but I was proud that I played and beat every one of these games...but when you are a 9 year old kid, and a gamer...that's one hell of an accomplishment.

His name was changed in America because Nintendo of America found out Rock was a slang term for crack

You can buy the magik key adaptor to play usa nes games on a uk nes, i bought on on ebay, there were also other converters released.

You can also pick up the Mega Man Anniversary Collection for the GameCube or PS2. It features the first 8 Mega Man games as well as 2 other Mega Man games from Japan. Pretty much the unaltered games except for some minor upgrades.
And don't forget about the pause trick against Yellow Devil. Use the Elec Beam and hit pause repeatedly. You can get a ton of hits against him with one shot.

no on my moms blackberry u can get megaman 3 on the cellphone

I've heard of that. I tried getting one, but because of the legal loop-hole that makes Retro Duo legal to sell in America, also makes it illigial to sell in the UK, means I'll have to import it. That'll cost me over £80. Much more than just importing an American NES. =/
Thanks for your help.

hmmmm also theres this thing i got called the Retro Duo it playes NES and SNES i know for sure it plays Japenese games but PAL u might have to look up on the internet its a really great consle
Megaman carts here in the UK is nearly impossible to find. The only carts on ebay are much more expensive than other NES carts! =(

They are not exactly uncommon here in the US, but still command a couple of bucks because of the game's popularity (maybe about $20). Does the UK use PAL or NTSC? If you have an NTSC tv, you could buy a US copy of the game. If not, then you're stuck looking for a PAL version. I'm pretty sure that Brazil uses PAL also, and retro video games are pretty popular there so you may want to look for a store online there and see if you can find a deal. Good luck, it's a great game!

UK uses PAL. And with the NES, there are various versions of PAL. The UK version of PAL for the NES will only play games sold in the UK or Italy. It makes it a huge pain when trying to find NES games here.
I might try to disable the region lock chip of my NES, but apprently, that can cause problems with certain games.
Thanks for the comment! =)

If it's the NES10 chip you're talking about disabling, I've done that before. That's more of a verification chip than a region lockout to prevent unlicensed games and is the main cause of an NES giving you a flashing screen. But as far as making an NTSC game work on a PAL or vise versa, I don't think that'll work. The differences are a matter of scan line format and the game won't display properly if you mix formats.
