i bought this tv 2 years ago and have been very pleased with it...although i only use it for dvd/blu-ray movies maybe 2-3 times a week.Set-up is tricky though..too many picture adjustment parameters.Should have had it calibrated properly.

we still have a tube tv. i have to wait until at least april to get an hdtv.

I was so excited after I read all these reviews, so I bought Pioneer KURO PDP-LX5090(50inch) a month ago,but ended up very disappointed. It has been a nightmare for me, frequently within each hour the television message SD05 (internal protection circuit turns the system off. check the speaker cable connections). Having checked each cable and removed them all together the problem code still appears after a short break.

There is also a problem with the volume level which is much too low. Having requested the pioneer engineer for assistance the reply was, we don't know the answer and no one has visited or offered any assistance yet.

I want 1. I own a Samsung 40 inch 1080p LCD, but it's crap in comparison 2 these new plasma's. If u want the best picture possible, get a PIONEER PLASMA.

todays panasonics have kuro technology and have the best blacks Ive seen. Pioneer engineers are at panasonic now.
