This is a review of my 2011 MacBook Pro 17" Laptop which I have had for exactly one month.

As a PC user, this review is an unbiased and apple unpolished. It explains the laptop details which apple ignores!

  • If you are not satisfied with your purchase for whatever reasons, you can return the product back to apple with no charge at all

  • @tedinoxford Wanna bet? That only if you purchase direct from apple which I did not.

  • Did you start liking the Apple eventually? Just wondering.

  • @Dude651984 More like found it easier to tolerate, especially when I found a USB 3.0 express card that works with both Windows & OS X. However I will not get a new one until apple includes:

    - USB 3 support,

    - USB ports on the right side of the case,

    - An SDXC card adapter,

    - Twin Hard Drives with Raid support,

    - TPM with Fingerprint reader,

    - Docking Station Port, - WiDi, - Offers a discounted version of Windows 7 or 8,

It is amazing how much the above takes away from a MBP.

  • Why would someone buy an iMac if they need a portable Computer? Also, I agree that the issues which you have highlighted are quite significant in such an expensive laptop. How is the sound quality? Is the bass good? Could you please do a video where u play bassline music on it? 1 more thing? Are you English/from the UK? How come you speak of $ instead of £, sorry for the long post

  • @midtown292 The sound quality is not bad, but for the price it is not as good as I thought it would be. I was expecting the sound to be as good as the old Inspiron 9300 / 9400 but it's not. I will work on doing a video some time. I use pounds and dollars depending where I am. My MBP also lack a pound sign.

  • And I then realized apples philosophy .. Btw you're bang on about the keyboard lights, however a little off when you say battery needs to be adjusted and changed, how long does the batt last you? Did the pixel get resolved ? And do you have apple care ? Is this your first apple product

  • @10p6 I don't think twin hard drives with raid support is ever going to be available. I also think USB 3 is probably a big deal for you because the rpm of the hard drive is 5400. With 750gigs to go, I don't think you shall need more than one external hard drive. I will need to wikipedia widi, also I think they won't have a docking port anytime soon. If they keep the USB ports on the rut hand side, they will have to do away with the optical drive I guess. I recently read Steve jobs biography..

  • You PAY only 4 apple LOGO. Good video,

  • @10p6 pretty much no laptop has a pound sign.

  • 60% of the price of this laptop is the "apple"logo

  • They have to change the keyboard size, looks ugly
