ok so heres what I think. This man gave his life for lies from our government. Hes dead forever and ever. no one will ever will ever see him again. What does our government do for his family and his children? This funeral is all he got for being killed at work? I dont see how this is worth it. Not being rude at all but honestly if I was asked, i wouldnt give my sister,brother, husband,wife or anyone to this governments lies for anything. hes gone and im sorry for that. but how was it worth it?

It was Shanes choice to be a Marine. He hated what the terrorists did on 911 and chose to serve his country. He said "I would rather confront them in their back yard than in mine". Should we have gone into Iraq? Thats debatable ... Sadam was stopped from torturing his own people etc ... Shane would give his paycheck away to Iraqi families because he couldn't stand to see them in such poverty. He taught the kids to play soccer ... Shane gave his life for your and my freedom. I am thankful ...

Combat Marine here that survived 3 tours of Iraq, and Desert Storm. Came home to find out I had terminal cancer. Survived many skirmishes just to have this. Ironic huh? I am very young and very scared. I will leave behind a Gorgeous wife, and 2 beautiful daughters. I will see Shane in Heaven since all Marines gather there. Our brother hood is too strong, be it in life or death. We will always be filled with honor, and courage. I never question God, so...Many blessings to Shane's family.

This Marines parents gave myself and another Marine the greatest xmas gift ever yesterday by leaving a merry xmas/thank you card for our service under my windshield probably becasue they seen the Marine stickers... I did not know until a few moments ago how special this gift really was, but if anyone knows them...please please tell them THANK YOU!!! As a struggling vet myself this made 2011 and all the pain associated with it go away. I was reminded just how special the MARINE CORPS FAMILY

I didn't know him but his name will be forever on The Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial in Marseilles,Illinois. I have been to it all nine years it has been held and have gotten Dog tags for various soldiers who have given the their lives. This Year i got Patricks i try and find Family member to return them if they want to tags too so far i have not returned 3 ... Thanks Nick rubio

God bless all the service men and women who would give their life for our country in the blink of an eye and not think twice about it. Thank you for the sacrafice. "when the Army and Navy look onto heveans scene, they will see that the streets are gaurded by united states Marines".
