It took me 45 min to figure out how to do this with 0 prior experience. If only I watched this video before! Next time I'll be ready.

I think i will start carrying a cotton ball in my kit like ianjk suggested, always feels a bit odd using your fingers to check for sharps!

Thanks for helping me patch my first flat! Your video had detail that I needed where other howto vids did not.

This is really trippy. Nice work

Also, when you find what you believe caused the puncture, keep going all the way around... sometimes you will find more junk stuck in the tire.

I usually patch... but I like to pull the tire all the way off and identify the source of the flat. Might not be able to see from visual inspection of the outside. Chunks of glass can be hard to see, carry a single cotton swab and run it across the inside of the tire, it will usually catch on whatever caused the flat (unless it is a pinch). Nothing like putting a new tube in and popping it as soon as you get back on the road.

rubbing a cotton ball or swap inside the tire to identify glass and debris is an AWESOME tip!!!
BTW, I usually patch when I get home.

Good video! New to road bikes myself. Haven't had a bike in about 30 years! Just got a new Fuji!
