thats #3, a 1890s ROGERS loco..built in Patterson, NJ,, itrs NOT a mogul, its a '10 wheeler' 4-6-0-,and probally the most filmed steam loco in history. she resides at calif 'railtown",and last i knew, was getting a new boiler....she was also the loco used in 'back to the future" movies. .

I grew up back in the day and saw classics like Gilligan's Island, F-Troop, The Lone Ranger, Andy Griffith, 3-Stooges, etc.,. but I never saw this. I like it. Alan Hale was a class act and it's so cool seeing Russell Johnson here as well. Of course, the real Casey was considerably younger, but this is "TV". IMHO, better quality show than a lot of the trashy junk that's on tv today. Thanks for posting this. :-)

If you check the opening credits as the locomotive passes the camera, notice that the lettering is reversed. I wonder if they run into the Howells, Ginger and Maryann down the tracks, too. If they see Gilligan, DON'T STOP!!

This is an easy one to get access to & lighten the load! The whistle & gauges will fetch a nice sum!

@Cockroach2008 you see a video with a Steam Locomotive and you just have to talk bad about them and their operators don't you. F.Y.I., there is one in Chattanooga that will be returning to operation in a month or less, Southern Railway 2-8-0 #630 WILL BE RUNNING UNDER FULL STEAM SHORTLY!!!

Figures...Russel Johnson (aka The Professor) walking the tracks, trying to move that big rock all by himself. Of course, he did play the heavy in a lot of those old westerns, including the movies.

@SegoRailroadModels Where did you get your facts? You need to research history before you by this Hollywood garbage. Casey Jones was a jerk with a cavalier attitude that got himself killed & wreck a lot of very expensive equipment.
Casey Jones should have been fired when he had his first infraction before the next one killed him & wrecked so much equipment.

@Cockroach2008 You know, you could insult me, if I wanted you to. My family worked on the Illinois Central same as Casey Jones. If you knew your history, which you obviously don't, you'd know that the real Casey died saving over a hundred lives.
