As a little girl, I couldn't understand why this version was different from the story I was read to. I once questioned about this and nobody could give me an answer.....until now. I'm in between the lines of "This is a clever output on how things went during the 1940's and how people can understand why things happened back then in a simpler concept." and "I can't believe Disney did this!!!! Why would he do this?!?!" When I've children of my own, I will let them watch it when they're older.
