Horowitz is having another one of his quiet days at the piano. Liszt listens to his Carmen's dream put to music

  • I am sorry, Horowitz never wrote music and was quite proud of it. There are three known pieces: Sarasate, Waxman and Liszt

  • hey this piece was made an written by Horowitz himself, it's a variation from the carmen's theme, called "Carmen Variations". This piece wasn't made by Bizet :| if u can change the title !!

  • IT is Liszt variation on the theme by Bizet.

  • seems like his birth gae a new lifeline to all piano repertoire...

  • STAR POWER!

  • haha I love the way at the end Horowitz is like "damn, not bad!"

  • Liszt?? this piece was composed by horowitz.. it is horowitz's variation. "carmen fantasy" or "liszt" are not involved in this piece :D:D

  • it's called " The Art Of Piano Great Pianists Of The 20Th Century" you can find it in youtube ! hf

  • What DVD/video is this from. I would like to hear the comments that come after the playing.

  • very good indeed...thanks :)

  • INSANE technique at 1:46. He epitomises the classical piano figure. Also 2:53 is amazingly pianissimo. Very hard to do that well.
