  • where do you change batteries? How difficult without the top box like most a/e guitars?

I want this...but also want a Martin DSM (what a boomer!). Can't afford both, though...play some big fat open bluegrass chords and convince me...

  • hey bj!

i see you are on the tak forum too and have gotten an answer for your question. it so happens that PtT on the forum bought my 340. this tak is most definitely a boomer and the 1 3/4" nut and beefy neck make it a great "manly" guitar. you'll love it.

  • Hi ! I write these words to tell you that it was interesting, but playing just Acoustic, the sound depends of the quality of the mic of the webcam (or the mic that had been used. We can have an idea of what it can give, but I think that we would have had a better idea of the sound that we would have if you had recorded that plugged. You can answer that it depends of the amp, for exemple, but when you show an Electric-Acoustic,you plug your guitar in an E/Acoustic amp. But sounded nice like that

  • aloha lorenzino,

there's also a plugged-in demo. click on "More From: Lanaki9" over on the right. keep in mind you are still dealing with several factors: the quality of the amp, the quality of the camera mic, the quality of the upload and the quality of your computer's speakers and, as "hellohabibi1" mentioned below, the quality of the player.

rest assured, Takamine is building some very fine instruments nevertheless!

  • Great!

Where can I find a tab for this?

  • thanks, LPFan. it's a rather simple hammer on/off riff that i made up and i do not have tabs for it.

  • That's a nice guitar

  • @blingbling098 Look up bob brozman for more speed.

  • wow! man :D that was cool :) Do you have tabs for this? :D

  • O_O

How can u play that fast !!!

  • nice! I've got the same guitar, but I hook up the Tri-Ax for gigs that require amplification. Best dread you can buy without a mortgage!

  • Way to brief Lanaki ... play on! Any fiddlers and banjo pickers on the island? Slightly bigger but with the same AAA solid Sitka and I think preamp as the 75 this dread is a great guitar and made for flatpickin'. That video cam mic does a great job.

  • Sounds fantastic man! I am currently saving for a new acoustic and I love Takamine. However I am torn, do I want a Martin since I have spent almost my whole life in Pa and I have never owned one, or do I want another Tak? Both companies make fantastic guitars.

  • that sounds like hot dog by zeppelin.

  • i mean, i can play hahaha

  • wow great technique!! hope i can fly that way soon haha !!
