Anyone who calls Jack DeJohnette sloppy, questions his technical mastery or questions his status as a top 50 ALL-TIME-GREAT on the drums, doesn't know the first damn thing about the drums. Period.

@JBoomBap I heard him on Silver hollow (JDJ New directions) and he's as good on piano as he is on dms. He plays both instruments on Ahmad the terrible and recorded as a pianist with Freddie Waits on dms. Great composer. I always thought he was so incredible on dms cause he's a great musician. Rythm flows where others align bricks. I'm a lousy drummer but he changed my life. After hearing him, I learnt music !
