Overlooking the Pacific from Mt Tam

Using some footage taken from a couple of vantage points high on the western slope (above Stinson Beach) of Marin County's Mt Tamalpais, looking south past the Golden Gate to San Francisco, west overlooking the Pacific, and north toward the tip of Bolinas, I've been making multiple attempts to figure out how (and what settings to use) to prepare HD video and upload it (on YouTube) to the best effect. Clearly, this little SONY handicam has it's limitations, as do my cinematography skills, but again, this is primarily for experimental purposes in an attempt to get High Definition video to work. Sorry about the jumping around--next time I'll try it with the tripod.
