I would love to get involved in acting but, it sounds like i need to have experience for most roles. Is it best if i do some extra work first, and then work my way up. ?

im mandee and ive been with JRP for a couple months now and the main thing that they taught me to do in an auditon is to act like the casting director, agent, etc. is one of your best friends. dont act like there some big thing because then you will get nervous and most likley mess up. just have fun with it....:) and dont forget to smile

Err, I have an audition his Saturday (My first one), and I am royally screwed. Shouldn't you be allowed to talk when you're meeting the people? At least say "Hi" or something? Or do you really walk in there like mindless robots?
I figured it'd be more polite to at least say something.

holy moly this was horrible. i also went to an acting audition...John Robert Powers, and these people are missing alot of stuff. first of all, your supposed to walk in and sayhi! good morning how are you..or anything of that nature. and right after you give them your headshot, you shake their hand and say my names yadayada and im yada years old...and a bunch of other stuff. it's wayy more professional and you will deff. be taken seriously.
